Lures are a more sophisticated version of incense which attracts Pokemon to a particular PokeStop for a period of 30 minutes. Not only is it more effective, but it also targets the PokeStop not just for the player, but all players interacting with the PokeStop during that period!
Lures can be bought from the Shop in groups of either 1 or 8 in exchange for PokeCoins.
The main difference between Incense pots and Lures is Incense pots allow Only YOU to attract Pokémon, Lure Modules work for every single trainer in the vicinity and can be used on Pokéstops. The stop will then start producing pink petals to let you know it’s a hotspot for Pokémon.
